The Village Green Arts

In 2014, we began to plan a greater use of an underutilized district in Southwest Harbor. We envisioned a space where both for profit and non-profit entities work together to create a new and vibrant community square. PLEASE JOIN US AS WE BUILD:

• Public Square improvements For special events, work and play
• A cohesive Village Center with Shops, Open Air Marketplace, Galleries and Housing
• Island Watch Education Center A working education and retreat center for visiting artists, musicians , their families & community
• Performing Arts Center A multiuse performance and community space...the anchor for the Village Square and the Island Watch Center.
The Village Green Arts Center is a streetscape of shops, galleries, performing arts auditorium and outdoor event venue located in the center of SW Harbor. Fishermen, farmers, artists, boatbuilders and educators have long been attracted to this seaside village. The arts complex continues this appreciation of our island home. This adjacent Island Watch Retreat Center will compliment the mission of the PAC, providing accommodations, classes and studio space for visiting artists and their families.
