The Vine International Ministries

We are a family of Christian Churches that walk together in love, cooperation and alliance. Our relationship is based on the following aspects:

We are more a family than an organization. In other words, we are together because we want to be together. We acknowledge paternity and authority among us spontaneously, not by denominational obligation.

We are Charismatic. We experience and delight ourselves in the live action of the Holy Spirit. His gifts, manifestations, and the experience of Baptism in the Holy Spirit are fundamental realities for the triumph of the Church.

We are Cell Churches. In spite of controversy and the confusing terminology of the last few years, the best way to involve each believer in the development of his ministry is through a Cell Group. The primitive church was not temple centered, nor was it clerical; neither do we want to be.

We are living the Church Restoration. We are inclusive, which means we see ourselves as part of the Church. This is the result of centuries of the Holy Spirit’s work through History. We have a lot from the Reform and from the Baptist and Presbyterian, Methodist and Pentecostal movements that came later. Today, we are determined to serve the Church as the Body of Christ in a perspective of love and openness.

The Vine has two branches. Brazil – supervised by Pastor Aluízio Silva, and International – supervised by Pastor Marcelo Almeida. In total, there are 88 Videira Churches and 140 others in the Vine family.

We were the pioneers of the Cell Group structure in Brazil, and have been involved with this vision since 1984.
We have experienced wonderful results in quality, leader training and growth in numbers since then. By the grace of God we have been planting churches that are growing and thriving. This is happening in cities all over Brazil, like Goiânia where in ten years tens of thousands of people have been brought to Christ. In this city, our Church has surpassed the line of 20 thousand members, including children. In São Paulo (capital) we are almost 6 thousand disciples.

By the Grace of God, the churches of the Vine family are usually the biggest in the cities where they are located. This is the case in Cuzco, Peru; Mauá, in the state of São Paulo; Palmas, capital of the state of Tocantins; Atlanta, Georgia; and in many other cities.
