The Well Read Bookstore

Well Read is the only bookstore in Hawthorne, New Jersey. We are independently owned and operated. We opened in Hawthorne on November 1st 2010. This was the culmination of a lifetime of reading and browsing bookstores around the world. Well Read is a composite of all the best features of those many stores visited throughout a lifetime. I hope you will enjoy visiting us as much as we enjoyed visiting them!
Free parking is available in our lot at the rear of the store (follow our sign to the front entrance) and there is 30 minute street parking available directly in front of the store.

We carry an extensive selection of books, Greeting Cards, Magazines, Educational Games and also have a very nice children's section and much more.

We offer our customers complementary Gourmet Columbian Coffee (our special book house blend) and a selection of premium Stash teas.

We have a network of publishing and distributor contacts that allow us to find and acquire almost any book that is currently in print. If we don't have the book you are looking for, we will order it for you at no additional cost. There is never an extra charge for a special order picked up here at the store.

We offer many community oriented events each month. We believe that we offer something for everyone. Please check our calendar to see what is coming in the future.
