The Wheel Chair Taxi

The Wheelchair Taxi, Inc. “WCT Mobility,” is a local provider that offers mobility scooter rentals to Hotels in the Henderson and Buncombe County area. In addition, we offer ambulatory and wheelchair transportation services as well.

All rentals are available to rent for short term or long term use, day, week or just let us know. All rental equipment is cleaned and sanitized after every use. There are not any delivery or pickup charges, please call our office in advance at (828) 687-8010 to make reservations and set-up an appointment time for delivery of your motorized scooter or manual wheelchair.

Once everything is confirmed we will meet you at your local hotel or destination.

In identifying the growing need for assisted transportation within his community, Carlos Banks left a 20 year UPS career and, in 2007, formed The Wheel Chair Taxi to meet the growing demand.

The Wheel Chair Taxis' primary goal continues to be simple - meet the diverse transportation needs of our clients. As Carlos explains, "No two clients are the same. Everyone requiring medical transportation has a different circumstance or condition that require specialized transportation solutions. For this reason, we are committed to identifying and understanding our client's needs and personal preferences to provide them with the most cost effective solutions."

Whether you require ambulatory or wheelchair assistance our trained staff looks forward to arriving at your place of pick-up in a clean, safe and reliable vehicle to transport you to your destination. Upon arrival, our staff will accompany you into the facility and ensure your safe admittance.
