The Wisdom of the Heart

Welcome to The Wisdom of the Heart! I’m Reggi Goldman, manager of this new business, which emerged in a unique and magical way that is very close to my heart.

It all started one day in June of 2015 when I drove past a charming little shop called “Angelic of Berkeley” and felt compelled to stop my car and step in. The store was all about angels, and out from behind a curtain walked Emilio Ley, my future husband and personal angel :)

Emilio’s family had established this shop three years ago as a sister store to their long-established flagship business in Lima, Peru, called “Angelic: La Tienda de Los Angeles.” Now coming into its eighteenth year, Angelic is well known and loved in Peru.

Emilio had come to Berkeley in 2013 from his country, to help open and run this family business. Over time he began to steer this venture in new directions, introducing new concepts and products more in alignment with his personal vision and passion for healing, consciousness, and well-being.

Emilio and I discovered that we shared many values and perspectives, and a beautiful friendship began to blossom. As our hearts and visions merged, we came to see that BOTH OF US WERE ROOTED IN THE WISDOM OF THE HEART—AN INNATE KNOWING THAT GUIDES AND INFORMS OUR LIVES.

We were also surprised and blown away to realize that we were soulmates! This divine union inspired two transformative events in our lives: we married in October of 2016, and in 2017 we embarked upon the adventure of reconceiving the local family business and inviting our community (YOU!) to join us.
