The Witch Hut

The witch hut Is a house where you can hold events. The goal is to promote community/bringing neighbors families and friends together, good health, good healthy food, learning new skills and team work in a fun and positive way that is both creative and free.

(A little background )
My name is Daniel Adkins. I've lived in Prescott AZ for some years now. I don't go to college, I'm a farmer and an artist . I try to live my life in a simple and good way. I love this town and I love my neighborhood. I grew up in a town a little smaller Prescott called Martinsville VA. We basically had nothing to do unless you wanted to go to the race track which I didn't or drive about an hour away for any kind of nightlife.

However! One thing I found in that town was a group of kids who were renting out spaces to host punk shows, poetry readings and movie screenings! This SAVED MY LIFE. I was at every show always excited to check out the bands or the new artist coming through. When I moved out to Prescott I met some kids who were doing the same things! Having shows in there living rooms and basements, hosting potlucks, book clubs/game nights and other awesome events. YES I have found my home. So I kind of of roamed around for a while couch to couch floor too floor and bed to bed. I moved into this place that used to be around called "Karma Farm" with a friend of mine Thomas Arnold. Anyway he moved and the farm was done.

SO I started scanning the neighborhoods for the most rundown or unoccupied house I could find I had my eye on one for months. It was a little yellow house with a crack down the side of the wall ,broken windows and curse words spray painted on the back door but most importantly a huge fenced in jungle of a yard right by the creek!

I watch that house for months and then I ran into a friend who lived next door to it and knew the landlord and gave me his number so I called and got a lease with him

The house was abandoned for a few years aside for a few neighborhood squatters. After a lot of time, work and most importantly the help of a few good friends The witch hut is now not only a home but a full functioning community center where we have a great community garden and lending library we also host shows with the of live music local and touring bands also hosting social/spiritual discussions etcetera.

There is and never will be a fee for attending events/ garden or library. However donations always help when it comes to paying the bands who play shows and buying soil, seeds, tools, books or whatever.
