An engaging, fun and educational half or full day program about survival in college and life the year after high school. The presentation is led by a human development enthusiast with 20+ years of youth development experience that also includes 5 years of experience working closely with and designing curricula for first generation college freshmen.
The program goes beyond the traditional talk around AP coursework, ACT/SAT scores, financial aid and challenges students to think about self-management and life in critical ways for the first 365 days after high school graduation. The experience is filled with student success stories that build a context for developing a blueprint for:

*Building critical thinking skills
*Goal setting
*Embracing their WHOLE life post high school
*Evaluating their 40 Developmental Assets

*11th and 12th graders that are college bound first generation students and/or students of color

About Curtis:
*Adjunct faculty member at Ivy Tech Community College and Jefferson Community and Technical College
*2 time Metroversity Outstanding Teacher Award of an Adult Learner Nominee
*Co-developed and implemented the CRP (College Readiness Program) with Fathers & Families Centers and Ivy Tech Community College
*Co-created the first year experience course and curriculum for African-American males at Ivy Tech Community College (Central Indiana)
