Thoo Moei Klo

Thoo Moei Klo is a river that acts as a natural boundary between Thailand and Myanmar. We are not only an ethnic Karen store, but we represent the different peoples from this region; therefore, our products are of great character and quality. We offer dynamic cultural merchandise that reflects the Karen people from the Thai/Myanmar border, and the other wonderful ethnic groups from this region. We are happy to be part of the revitalization that is happening in Syracuse, primarily Syracuse's North Side neighborhood, better known as Little Italy. The Karen people have helped in the transformation of north side neighborhood, both economically and culturally. We are proud to represent the community, and initiate a cultural exchange. The Karen and other ethnic groups from the Thai/Myanmar border were resettled in the area as refugees beginning in 2009. Our store, Thoo Moei Klo will reflect out history and struggles as a people, but will also serve as a way to connect people from different cultures. We pride ourselves in our new concept of an ethnic retailer, and we will be using social media to promote awareness about both our products and culture, as well as our humanitarian efforts.
