More about Thrive Psychology

Thrive Psychology
Who We Are

Thrive Psychology is a powerful alliance of talented therapists committed to serving the surrounding communities of Southwest Michigan. The diversity and strength of individual skill sets comes together to honor the values of the practice: professional collaboration and integrative treatment approaches. Working as a team from a client’s initial contact, Thrive works to blend a unique and personalized treatment plan. This approach allows us to use research-based interventions that reflect varied needs across individual personalities and experiences.

Thrive boasts a welcoming and compassionate support staff. The intake staff recognizes the innate vulnerability and courage that is the result of bringing professionals into the most personal of struggles. Our insurance liaison takes care of gathering and communicating insurance benefits, and our billing specialist takes care of translating hard-earned benefits into services.

The clinical staff at Thrive is a well-rounded, educated, and experienced group that includes psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, Master-level therapists, and an art therapist. Clinicians offer services including assessment and referral, psychological and ADHD testing, custody evaluations, counseling, trauma treatment, EMDR, EFT, and psycho-educational events. Treatment modalities are tailored to individuals, couples, families, and issue-specific groups.

At Thrive, clinicians are trained in many types of treatment modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Psychodynamic Theory. We treat individuals, couples, and families struggling with issues related to Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, eating dysregulation, mood disorders, relationships, addiction, and life transition. We believe that maladaptive behaviors and response patterns are the result of choices made by intelligent people; and that what was adaptive at one stage may become maladaptive later in life. Changes are made by increasing insight into the early learning process, strengthening identity, committing to healthier beliefs, and translating this work into daily life.

We look forward to the opportunity to care for you, and are honored to become part of your integrative health care team.
