Through the Cross™ ministries tries to better the lives of the homeless, less fortunate, and those in need of help. Our ministry depends on donations from local churches, community service providers, and individuals. We are seeking additional help with i.e. food, clothes, blankets, and monetary donations. Every little bit makes a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.
Through the Cross™ ministries meet each Sunday evening at 6:30pm. The group of volunteers make four stops to minister to those in the downtown Asheville area, we are able to hand out food i.e. meat, fresh vegetables, fruit and water, provide hot soup and sandwiches, give out clothing, shoes, tents, blankets, and sleeping bags when available. Our group of volunteers attempts to meet the physical needs which open the door to ministering to their spiritual needs, through scripture and prayer.
If you would be interested in donating to/or volunteering to help Through the Cross™ ministries , please contact Gene Dickenson at (828) 458-9042. We also ask that you would pray for Through the Cross™ ministries as we continue to reach the homeless and less fortunate in the Asheville community.
Psalms 41:1-3 Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive: and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou will make all his bed in his sickness.
