☰ HISTORIA

Todo empezó en Agosto 2013 en la fila peatonal de la frontera terrestre más transitada del mundo: Tijuana.

Más de 50 millones de personas transitan el área cada año.

Entre México y EUA cruzan caminando cerca de 45,000 personas diario en condiciones inhumanas.

La espera para cruzar es de horas a la vez, bajo el sol ó lluvia, de pie sobre un piso chueco, en un entorno sucio y contaminado, bombardeado de publicidad barata, pobreza y malos olores, sin señalización, información ó seguridad.

LA INFRAESTRUCTURA ACTUAL NO ES LA ADECUADA PARA EL VOLUMEN DE PERSONAS QUE TRANSITAN EL AREA.

Personas de alrededor del mundo están expuestos a grandes riesgos de salud mientras esperan para cruzar la frontera. No hay primeros auxilios ni salidas de emergencia.

No es justo.

TJTQ busca crear conciencia y dignificar el cruce.

☰ HISTORY

It all began August 2013 at the pedestrian line at the busiest land border in the world: Tijuana.

More than 50 million people transit this area between Mexico and the USA every year.

Close to 45,000 people walk across the border everyday in inhumane conditions.

They wait for hours at a time under the blasting sun or rain, standing over a crooked floor, in a dirty and polluted environment full of dumb advertisements, poverty and awful smells with no signs, information or security.

THE CURRENT INFRASTRUCTURE IS NOT ADEQUATE FOR THE VOLUME OF PEOPLE THAT TRANSIT THE AREA.

People from all over the world that wait in line to cross the border are exposed to serious health issues without First Aid or Emergency exits.

It's not fair.

TJTQ seeks to create awareness and bring dignity to the border crossing.

TIJUANA TE QUIERO means Tijuana I love you and the word "quiero" also means want.
