Hi friends! Some of you may not know what the Tiki Hut Farm Market is about. We built the tiki hut last year (2014) after I realized I needed an upgrade over my card table I sold produce out of in 2013. The tiki hut is made from Bass trees found on our property, and thatched with grass grown from my aunt's property. It was a bit of a challenge putting it together (as with the geodome green house) but we are glad we did. It gave us a unique platform to sell our veggies and fruit out of. The produce I grow on the property is better than organic. It is grown with 0 pesticides, and I do my best to use only natural fertilizers and no herbicides. Sustained agriculture is one of my many passions. Demand for my vegetables and fruit was high enough that I had to start looking for local farmers and Amish communities who wholesale me vegetables to sell to the public. I also received tremendous help from local farm markets like Q's Plants in Hersey, Circle Farms in Baldwin Mi, and Hearty Harvest in Remus, MI. Without their help, I would have an awesome tiki hut, but with no high quality vegetables and fruit to sell. Each week we keep growing and getting better, and I invite the public, my customers, and anyone else vested in sustained agriculture to come grow with me :)
