Timber Creek Farm and Forest School

Timber Creek Farm & Forest School is based on the original German Forest Kindergartens that were first created and implemented over 100 years ago. Since then, outdoor forest schools have continued to flourish in European countries and are the current and traditional form of early childhood education in Finland, Denmark and Germany (countries that lead the world in educational outcomes). Here at Timber Creek we embrace the original outdoor model that continues to inspire creative and self-managing children. The entire days lesson is spent outdoors on a beautiful 6 acres of woodland, wetland and farmland environment that is full of a variety of plants & wildlife. Children learn through hands on exploration; fort building, food foraging, collecting eggs, puddle jumping, feeding the animals and making natural art, all while under gentle and experienced guidance of kid loving outdoor teaching enthusiast!

Alongside the forest school, Timber Creek Farm will also be growing by leaps and bounds over this next year with the addition of goats and a large organic farm!
