Tirto Furniture

For the past nine years, owner Christopher Tirtoprodo, has worked at David Smith & Company. Chris first met David Smith when he was a small child in Malang, Indonesia. David came to his family’s home to meet Chris’ father James with the hope that James would introduce him to the best of the antique dealers in Indonesia. From that point forward, David and James became close friends, spending countless hours, driving through nights, knocking on doors of antique dealers in the middle of the night and hand selecting pieces that were brought to Seattle and sold at David Smith & Co and were later sold to dealers around the world.

For many years, James Tirtoprodjo, collected and restored antiques slowly growing his business from a few carpenters working out of his home, to purchasing land in Blitar, Java, Indonesia for a workshop employing over 25 people. His company, PCS Furniture, produces modern style furniture for customers in Holland and clients such as Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.

Chris is proud to open Tirto Furniture, the first storefront to sell the furniture his family designs and produces.
