More about TnT Sports Performance and Fitness

At TnT Sports Performance and Fitness we are dedicated in providing you, the client, with the best fitness training experience possible in a challenging but positive environment. We provide group training, private lessons, as well as youth sports performance development depending on your goals and needs. We provide services in the Crestwood area but also can train you at your residence or other on-site locations.

Our fitness training is a high-energy group fitness program that will jump start your metabolism, increase relative functional strength, and elevate your overall level of fitness. Designed for all levels of fitness, Training sessions are varied constantly and are scalable so regardless of your fitness level you will find the session rewarding and challenging but doable. Class structures vary as well depending on the need of the client or the group, but we always include a warm up, then proceed to a more high-intensity interval type workout, then we usually finish the last half of class with strength training or metabolic conditioning workout. We use several types of equipment to accomplish our goals. These include kettlebells, TRX suspension trainers, medicine balls, stability balls, power bands, agility ladders and much more.

Tony Denham and Joe Manning are the trainers and our bios are below. References available upon request.

Tony Denham: For the last 12 plus years I have been very involved in coaching youth sports. The opportunity to have an influence on a young persons life is an honor. The majority of my coaching time has been in Girls Fastpitch Softball. In addition to coaching competitive softball, I have been involved in teaching and instructing pitchers. For the last 8 years, I have led pitching clinics working with both new and experienced pitchers. I also do private pitching, hitting and fielding instruction, in addition to coaching,

I was honored to serve with the Louisville Metro Police Department for 20 years. Achieving the rank of Major, I commanded the First and Seventh Divisions. Law enforcement demands that you be in top shape both physically and mentally; I have always strived to achieve both. I am a Level 1 Certified Instructor for the Training for Warriors (TFW) program. TFW encompasses detailed warm-ups, speed training, strength training, endurance training and flexibility work. If you want to build strength, improve conditioning, lose fat and or gain muscle, TFW will deliver results. I also have a Functional Movement Screen (FMS) Level 1 Certification. The FMS screen is highly beneficial to clients in reaching their fitness goals. The screen will help individualize training and conditioning programs, improving overall movement and preventing injuries. I look forward to the opportunity to SERVE you! Whether you are an elite athlete, weekend warrior or just looking to get back into shape, I will help you achieve your goals.

Joe Manning: I have always had a love for fitness throughout my life. I saw the importance of being fit and confident throughout my career as a police officer. I retired after 20 years of service with the Louisville Metro Police Department where I achieved the rank of Lieutenant. I was in charge of numerous officers and units and developed a strong interest in teaching and helping others achieve their goals, be it fitness related or any other avenue in their lives or professions. I get extreme satisfaction when I see a client achieve something they thought they never could just a few months earlier. This is one of the main reasons, if not the main reason I enjoy teaching.

I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I have 10 years of coaching and instructing experience. Also I have been training in the martial arts for the past 22 years, with 20 of those in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which I am an instructor in as well. I received my black belt under legendary world champion Helio Soneca. I have used my fitness, conditioning, and other training numerous times in actual conflict situations during my 20 years as a police officer and it has always proven effective.
