Toad Haven Cottage

Toad Haven Cottage, located in Crestline, CA, is a newly remodeled 2 story A-Frame Cabin in the San Bernardino Mountains. Crestline is only a 20 minute drive up the mountain from the 210 Freeway, only an hour and a half drive from LA and Orange Counties. The cottage is close to the little town of Crestline, home of beautiful Lake Gregory, a perfect location for a romantic get-away in the mountains. The large 'Wall of Windows' looks out into the thick forest and a view of Strawberry Peak, which can be seen from the living room, bedroom and the kitchen. The brand new, fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious mountain meals. It has a stove/oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and toaster. Gourmet coffee and teas are waiting in the kitchen for you to enjoy. Unlike a lot of mountain rentals, you won’t need to bring your own bedding, towels or toiletries, all included.
Crestline and Lake Gregory
The very cool little town of Crestline hasn’t changed much in 50+ years. It has a great market, Goodwin’s, a number of nice restaurants, along with many shops and antiques stores. Lake Gregory is a beautiful lake nestled in the pines with lots to do. You can fish right from the 3 miles of public shoreline or you can rent rowboats at the marina. Power boats have never been allowed, making Lake Gregory the cleanest lake in the local mountains, but you can rent a boat with a small electric motor in case you don’t feel like rowing. At the marina, you can also rent belly boards, aqua cycles, pedal bo ats, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. The Cove Café, right on the lake at the Swim Cove, features delicious sandwiches with homemade sauces, hamburgers, hot dogs, sides and salads. Then there is the new Waterpark at the west end, a 13,755 square foot Swim Cove. The Waterpark has huge inflated slides, swings, jumps, diving platforms, a large water slide and much more. There’s a walk trail that circles the entire lake with exercise stations along the way, if you’re so inclined, with amazing views of the lake with every step.
