Our building dates back to 1885 when our county constructed the FIRST "Williamson County School", a one-room, wood-frame school house. In 1905, the property was purchased by the Mount Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church where it would be a house of worship for the next 100 years.
In 2005, the property was purchased by a group of investors and renovated into what is now Towne Centre Theatre, adding dressing rooms and an art gallery. Towne Centre Theatre produces seven main stage performances throughout the year. Along with our main stage productions, we also host Exit Stage Left, (a hilarious improv show that involves audience participation), Jan Williams Music children's productions, and summer theater camps for our local students.
Our theater is also available for rent when for community, corporate or entertainment events. Contact us at contact@townecentretheatre.com for information on pricing and availability.
