About TPC River Highlands Golf:
First known as Middletown Golf Club in 1928 and later as Edgewood Country Club, TPC River Highlands’ par-70, 6,841-yard course was completely redesigned by the legendary Pete Dye in 1982. The championship golf course underwent a second renovation in 1989 by noted golf course architect Bobby Weed and PGA TOUR Design Services, Inc., with PGA TOUR players Howard Twitty and Roger Maltbie serving as consultants.

TPC River Highlands was named by Golf Digest as “One of the Top 10 Golf Courses in the State” and the “Best Private Course in the State” by Connecticut Golfer Online for six consecutive years. More recently in 2012, TPC River Highlands was ranked No. 25 by PGA TOUR pros in Golf World’s PGA TOUR Course Rankings.

The course meanders over 148 acres with stately corridors of mature maple, oak, sycamore and eastern white pine trees framing gently rolling fairways. The course features Bentgrass from tee to green surrounded by bluegrass fescue rough. Numerous lakes and ponds add to the golf course’s beauty. The course is fully certified in the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses (ACSP), which supports ecologically-sound land management and protecting wildlife habitats.

TPC River Highlands’ award-winning golf course boasts a tough finishing stretch from holes 15-18. The 15, 16 and 17th holes all play around a four-acre lake. Stewart Cink, who won the 2008 Travelers Championship, called them, “four of the most exciting finishing holes in a group anywhere in the world.”

Bobby Weed’s 18-hole championship golf course at TPC River Highlands is the centerpiece to a unique private club experience boasting a variety of golf, dining and hospitality within the River Highlands community in Cromwell, CT. Located just 30 minutes from the Hartford/Springfield airport, TPC River Highlands offers a variety of golf, dining, social and recreational programs for everyone. All activities are underscored by the PGA TOUR’s uncompromising service and high standards.

TPC River Highlands boasts an impressive practice facility featuring an 11,000-square foot putting green and a 13,000-square foot short game area for sand bunker and chipping practice. Our staff of PGA Golf Professionals offers group and individual golf lessons, club fitting and club repair. Members and guests also have access to an award-winning Golf Shop offering the most premier golf clothing and equipment.

Steeped in New England charm, the white clapboard Clubhouse features classic dining rooms, private meeting rooms and banquet facilities with wireless Internet, conference phones and audio-visual capabilities. Additionally in 1997, TPC River Highlands was renovated to add a pool and two asphalt tennis courts that are available to Members and guests.
