Traveller's Rest Equine Elders Sanctuary

Traveller's Rest Equine Elders Sanctuary offers long-term and hospice care to senior horses that have been abandoned or neglected, or whose owners can no longer offer the specialized care required to maintain geriatric good health. Horses accepted only when resources allow. TREES will not put current residents at risk by taking on more horses than our space, finances and manpower can accommodate.

NOTE: At this time, since we do not have room for all the Virginia elders needing a place to go, we are not considering horses from other states for acceptance into the Sanctuary.

is a tax-exempt charitable organization as defined by Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3) and is duly registered to solicit charitable donations in the Commonwealth of Virginia under regulations set forth by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
