Trinity AME Church

Trinity A.M.E. Church is an historic landmark in Greater Lansing. Our history has been an
enduring presence in Lansing beginning in 1866 with a small congregation organized by
Reverend Henderson of the British Methodist Episcopal Church and was called the
Independent Methodist Church. Over the century and a half of our founding our church has
provided help to the needy, scholarships for our graduates, spiritual mentoring to the
congregation, care for the aging and the needs and concerns of the Greater Lansing
community.
