A community sharing in the life of God
Growth comes over time ― usually slowly though sometimes in spurts. Through the people, things, and circumstances in our lives, we seek the presence of Christ. Union with God, others, creation, and our own truest self comes by God's good grace. We seek to place ourselves in the pathway of grace by spiritual practice and discipline.

A community in the Anglican tradition
Worship is at the heart of who we are and what we do. We are a people who value an open-minded, searching approach to faith while being firmly rooted in ancient truth. Our way includes holding opposites in tension and assuming that what appear to be irreconcilable differences may contain a balanced truth. We value personal responsibility and freedom in life as Christians.

A community that is open and affirming
We support the full inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender persons in the parish's life and ministry. This support is one specific aspect of our commitment to seek Christ in all people. At Trinity we seek to share God's unconditional love and acceptance of all, regardless of age, gender, race, marital or family status, sexual orientation, disability, or economic means.

An historic community
Established in 1865 when Seattle was still a town with fewer than 1,000 citizens, Trinity has come through Seattle's Great Fire of 1889 and the 2001 Nisqually Earthquake. Generations of people have come to the Eucharist in search of community and holiness. Year by year we have come together for baptisms, marriages, and burials. We are a contemporary community rooted in ancient practices. Trinity is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

A community given to beauty
We find joy in the beauty of creation and have a strong commitment to environmental protection. In our worship we strive for good music, a sense of flow and grace, poetry and drama, all happening in a place of beauty.
