TRIO Educational Opportunity Center at the University of Kansas

TRIO Educational Opportunity Centers have been continuously funded at KU since 1998, and have provided educational services to more than 16,000 individuals. Services include helping individuals enroll in technical and vocational training programs, and post-secondary education programs. TRIO-EOC also assists participants in exploring career options, selecting a school, completing college admissions applications, and applying for financial aid.

You are eligible to participate if you:
Are a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident and can provide your alien registration number; Reside in the following Kansas Counties: Douglas, Franklin, Leavenworth, Shawnee, or Wyandotte; Have not earned a 4-year bachelor’s degree

Priority is given to individuals who have limited income or have parents who have not earned a 4-year bachelor’s degree, but we reserve the right to work with others outside of these two areas.

Unaccompanied, homeless, or foster-care youth
