TRiO Student Support Services at Columbia College

TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) program is a federally funded grant that serves first-generation, low-income, and/or students with a disability who are seeking a certificate, degree, and/or to transfer to a 4-year University. The goal of the TRiO SSS program is to provide students a strong and supportive learning community that motivates and propels the student towards their chosen academic goal. TRiO SSS is designed to increase the student’s likelihood of success by not only staying in college but completion of their educational goals in a timely manner as well.
TRIO SSS Program Eligibility: (have at least one of the following, priority given to those that fit more than one criteria)
• Be first-generation college student, neither parent completed a Bachelor’s degree
• Be low-income, verification will be checked according to federal guidelines at intake
• Have a verifiable disability, provide verification through DSPS office

Applications available year round; enrollments primarily conducted prior to Fall semester. Attend an Information Session to complete the application process.
