Tutoring

Our SSS program offers one-to-one tutoring or online tutoring to all of our participants. We offer tutoring each day at various hours to fit the schedule demands of our students. Come by and check out our tutoring times.

Advising

Our SSS staff can advise you in several different areas: academic, career, financial aid, transfer assistance and even personal counseling.

Learning Activities

These are offered in workshop format. Examples include: Note Taking Skills, Goal Setting, Test Taking Skills, Financial Aid, Time Management, Budget and many more.

MUST attend two Learning Activities per semester to stay active.

Cultural Activities

There are activities (local and non local) provided to familiarize participants with the many cultural aspects in the world. Examples include: 4 yr. College Campus Tours (UTPB, Texas Tech University, Angelo State, etc.), Dinner & Theatre nights, Museums, and other various fun and educational activities.

MUST attend two Cultural Activities per semester to stay active.

SSS Computer Lab

Don’t have a computer? No problem. Come to the SSS Computer Lab (located down the hall from the SSS office) and use any of the seven computers. Each computer has all the updated software and access to a printer, which allows you to do all of your homework in one place.

Laptop Lending

Need a computer but don’t have time at school? Come check out one of our laptops for a time frame of two days. Certain restrictions apply.
