Tropical Dreams Ice Cream

Tropical Dreams Ice Cream Company has been manufacturing gourmet ice cream and related products on the Big Island for over 20 years. We are small batch, custom makers of super premium and premium ice cream. We offer a wide range of wholesale ice cream and frozen dessert products, including a broad line of sorbets, yogurts, gelatos and sherberts. You can order online, or if you are in the area stop in our retail store in Waimea where you can purchase our delicious ice cream by the pint or by the gallon! We offer over 70 flavors of ice cream, gelato, sorbet and frozen yogurt in our store. In addition we offer fresh baked goods by Sandwich Isle Bread Company.

Tropical Dreams Ice Cream is considered a super premium ice cream. It is made with cream containing 18% butterfat and is “low overrun” (the amount of air mixed in during the freezing process) thus creating a rich, dense product. Hilo Homemade Ice Cream is classed as a premium ice cream and is made with 16% butterfat with a little higher overrun. We also produce true Italian style Gelatos and Sorbettos. These are much lower in butterfat, under 10% and have rich, intense flavors.
