Troy Rehabilitation and Improvement Program (TRIP), Inc.

Since its inception in 1969 TRIP:
:: has rehabbed more than 300 units in over 128 buildings and
:: owns and/or manages 220 units of rental housing in the City of Troy
:: developed and sold homes to more than 85 first-time home buyers.
:: has created and/or supports one dozen neighborhood groups in the City of Troy
:: has trained over 600 people in its Landlord Training program
:: developed a Tenant Training Program for RPI students
:: provided intensive environmental clean-up job training

In 2002, TRIP opened its NeighborWorks® Home Ownership Center in downtown Troy. Since that time the Homeownership Center:
:: has provided individual, one-on-one financial counseling to over 2000 households
:: graduated close to 500 people from its Homebuyer Education workshops
:: prevented over 100 families from losing their homes through foreclosure
:: assisted more than 200 families achieve home ownership
:: provided assistance to over 1500 households in Rensselaer County through the Mini-Repair Program
