More about True Vine Worship Center

On December 14, 1980, exactly 34 years ago, Bishop Willie E. Cole, Sr. and his wife—Queen Mother Helen J. Cole held the first church service inside their home where the beautiful beginnings of True Vine Pentecostal Church in Aliceville began. However, prior to starting the church, Bishop Cole and his wife were residing in Chicago, IL where they both had great careers and were faithfully serving as ministers under the leadership of Pastor Florence Nixon. As the Lord would have it, one day—late in the 70s--Bishop Cole said that he had a vision from the Lord of a “little white church in the South.” According to him, later after having this vision, the Lord spoke to him again. This time he said that the Lord said, “launch out into the deep—there were souls to be saved in Alabama”. He stepped out on his faith in God and gave his two weeks notice to Fel-pro Incorporation where he had worked for 16 years. His wife soon followed—as she was also an employee there for 6 years. This was a leap of faith for not only him, but also for his wife and children. During this time of transitioning, Queen Mother Helen was nurturing and caring for their three children, and she was also 7 months pregnant with Nathaniel when they moved to Alabama in 1980. From the first church service on December 14, 1980, it was obvious that revival had broken out! Between the years of 1980-82, people were coming from Carrollton, Aliceville, Gordo, Tuscaloosa, and other surrounding areas just to experience what the Lord was doing through these anointed vessels! It was phenomenal! Revival had swept over various parts of the county. Many people got filled with the Holy Ghost while singing and praying. Over one hundred people were baptized in the name of Jesus, many were healed, etc. The power of the Lord was evident upon this man and woman of God and testimonies of this great revival can be seen and heard by those whose lives have been touched by their ministry. As these pastors were pouring their hearts out in ministry, God remembered their prayers and has raised up many of their children to work in the five fold ministry. Today, they are making impact in the Kingdom of God!
For over 34 years, these two pioneers in the gospel have been impacting communities, various cities and states with their soul stirring preaching, and their heartfelt compassion for people. This compassion has been seen in their outreach ministry to those in prison, to troubled teens, broken families, etc. Now pastors and leaders have been and are being birthed out of their ministries. We salute these mighty trail blazers, appointed pioneers, spiritual giants in the Kingdom, father and mother to many, pastors for the pastors, and overseers for the set work of Jesus Christ.
On this December 14, 2014 at 4 p.m. at the Aliceville City Hall, a new chapter will began as Bishop Willie E. and Queen Mother Helen Cole will be “Passing of the Mantle” to their son, Elder Nathaniel L. Cole who will be ordained and installed as Senior Pastor of True Vine Pentecostal Church along with his wife, Evangelist Loran L. Cole, who will serve as Co-Pastor.
