Turning Point Foundation is a 501 c3 non-profit organization that began operations during the fall of 1991 in Springville AL, as a recovery center for men seeking relief from drug and alcohol addiction. In spring of 1995 Turning Point moved its facility to Thorsby AL will it still resides today.
Many improvements have been made to the Turning Point campus, classes and structure over the years but one thing remains the same, Turning Point continues to operate as faith- based, Christ-centered, recovery center for men seeking relief from drug and alcohol addiction. We opened a new men’s dormitory in 2005 that houses up to 30 men who live, eat, and attend class on campus. Every need that a resident has is provided for them so they can focus solely on their recovery.
Turning Point Foundation is located about 45 miles south of Birmingham in Thorsby, AL. The peaceful, 8-acre campus is safe from the high pace and temptation of the inner city. This provides a better atmosphere for the residents to refocus and restructure their lives. We operate independent from all federal, state and local agencies, Turning Point relies solely on private donations, internal intake fees and gift in kind donations of hard goods and services to support its residents.
