Turning Point School

Turning Point School is an independent, coeducational day school enrolling students in Primary (2 years, 9 months) to Level 8 in the greater Los Angeles area. A nonprofit, nonsectarian institution, Turning Point School is governed by a board of 15 to 18 trustees.

We are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, the California Association of Independent Schools, and the Council of Independent Schools. Our memberships include such professional organizations as the National Association of Independent Schools, the Educational Records Bureau, the Independent School Alliance for Minority Affairs, and the National Association of Principals of Schools for Girls. Turning Point School is also an affiliate of the American Montessori Society.

While Turning Point School has transformed its size, facilities, and curriculum over the years, the beliefs that have shaped the school’s path — the basic understanding of and respect for each student as an individual — remains the same. At Turning Point School, the true measure of an education is still the character of the students it produces.
