More about TWIST Eatery

Owner Joelle Bercovitch is pleased to announce the opening of TWIST Eatery, a chic urban cafe with a comforting TWIST! Situated on the stretch of South La Brea that has been undergoing a creative and commercial renaissance, this stylish eatery is a natural fit amongst the loft-inspired architecture, industrial and earth-friendly furniture, and artisanal shops reshaping the area.

Bercovitch, was born in Morocco, raised in Montreal, and inspired by California's organic, healthful food revolution, Joelle's "Little shop with a twist" is a beautifully designed eating place with big ideas, global flavors, and a very personal touch.

Bercovitch spent every Wednesday for the last two years testing, honing and polishing her favorite recipes to create the light breakfast, extensive lunch, and soon to be offered weekend brunch menu items at TWIST. Joelle has a knack for presenting straight-forward and comforting food, starting with some of TWIST Eatery's light breakfast options such as The Granola Parfait with house-made granola, fresh berries, Greek yogurt and a drizzle of orange honey, or the Biscuit Sandwich with scrambled eggs, bacon and cheddar, served on a homemade biscuit.

For lunch, The Raw Salad, Salmon Bowl & Anna's Classic Burger are not to be missed. You can also enjoy an assortment of healthy salads or hot-pressed sandwiches, before heading to the TWIST Bakery Menu which offers up favorites such as Cinnamon Sticky Buns, Fudgy Brownies, housemade Cookies and our signature TWIST Tops.

Exposed wooden trusses, marble countertops, and industrial and vintage fixtures in bright yellow give TWIST the stylish, unpretentious vibe Joelle was aiming for, and also make it a seamless addition to a neighborhood anchored by Clover Juice Bar, Moksha Yoga LA, and the highly anticipated Republique, Walter Manzke's new French bistro concept set to open later this year in the once revered Campanile restaurant space. "Every detail matters to me because I want TWIST to be an extension of my home," says Joelle, "where people eat well and enjoy a comforting experience, with a twist, of course."

We hope to see you soon!
