Tyndall Fitness Center

The Tyndall Air Force Base Fitness Center is located at bldg. 1601 Mississippi Rd. directly across from the "Horizons Community Center". The Tyndall Fitness Center is open to all Active Duty; Retirees; and their dependents as well as DOD/NAF Employee ID card holders. Use of the facility, including classes, is completely free. Daycare is not provided however there is a "Parent-Child" room in the facility allowing parents to workout while also supervising their children. Personal training and massage services are also offered for scheduling, fees apply.

Facility ammenities include:
*Multiple brands of selectorized equipment such as: Life Fitness, Strive, Hammer Strength, and Cybex.
*A complete free weight area with two olympic lifting pad.
*A diverse range of cardio machines including ellipticals, treadmills, arc trainers, stair climbers and more.
*Four multifunction rooms.
*Two basketball courts.
*Three raquetball courts.
*Dry saunas in the mens and womens locker rooms.

General Rules:

-AGE RESTRICTIONS
Per AFI 34-266 1.4 (Minimum Age Limit)

*16 and over: Unrestricted use of all FC facilities and equipment.

*13-15 years of age: All cardiovascular and weight equipment WITH INTERACTIVE SUPERVISION from an adult.

*6-12 years of age: Basketball and raquetball courts only WITH INTERACTIVE SUPERVISION from an adult.

*Under 6 years of age: Not allowed in any area of the facility except for the "Parent Child Area".


-GUESTS
Only valid ID holding Active Duty, Retirees, DOD/NAF employees and dependents of 18 years or older may sign non-ID holding guests. Three guest max per ID holder.

-ATTIRE
Fitness/athletic attire must be worn at all times.
*No cargo shorts of any kind.
*No open toed shoes.
*No jeans.
