As a branch campus of the University of Arizona, UA South seeks to extend the mission of the University as a whole to different populations, in remote locations, and with targeted programs. UA South is designated an Hispanic Serving Institution, and is a member of the Service members Opportunity Colleges (SOC) Consortium and SOCAD (linking to Ft. Huachuca Army Installation in Sierra Vista).
Through partnerships with community colleges, UA South offers quality degree-completion programs that are more financially and geographically accessible to those living in rural communities of Southern Arizona. In addition to more traditional degree programs typically shared with UA Main Campus departments, UA South also offers a number of Bachelor of Applied Science degree programs, several Master’s degree programs, and a wide variety of continuing education programs designed to meet the workforce training needs of communities throughout Southern Arizona.
