UCF School of Visual Arts and Design

SVAD is an interdisciplinary, multimedia School at the University of Central Florida. The various tracks, degrees, and opportunities facilitate experimental and groundbreaking research while offering students the essentials necessary to be innovative and effective designers of their future.

SVAD offers degrees in Art History, Book Arts, Ceramics, Drawing and Printmaking, Illustration, Painting, Sculpture, and Type and Design, Digital Media BA Web Design and Game Design as well as the BFA program in Emerging Media: Graphic Design and Experimental Animation tracks, and BFA programs in Studio Art.

SVAD’s Downtown Location hosts extensive opportunities for research, collaboration, and continuing education with MFA’s in Studio Art and the Computer, MFA and MA in Visual Langauge and Interactive Media, BFA in Emerging Media: Character Animation track, and BD in Architecture. Student and community resources include the Center for Research and Education in Arts, Technology, and Entertainment(CREATE), the Advanced Design Lab (ADLab), Flying Horse Press, Citylab Orlando, the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA), and Vicon Entertainment's House of Moves motion capture studio.
