UCI Cove

The University of California, Irvine created UCI Applied Innovation as an interdisciplinary and campus-wide center focused on integrating research, entrepreneurship and technology to create real-world applications that benefit the public and drive the economy. The Institute is envisioned as the epicenter of innovation in Orange County, California, creating a vibrant, interconnected and self-sustaining community of students, scholars, industries and entrepreneurs.

The Cove provides a physical and virtual platform for intense collaboration between inventors, entrepreneurs, incubators and accelerators. It brings the UCI research and capabilities to the community level and provides a strong foundation for the commercialization of ideas through proximity and collaboration.
