UFK KC - Ultimate Fitness Kickboxing KC

UFK KC is proud to offer group kickboxing and boxing fitness classes led by qualified trainers. Our kickboxing classes are led by skilled martial artists with many years of experience and martial arts apprentices, who have been training with black belts for 9-12 months.

Our trainers incorporate practical fitness movements (including self-defense techniques) that emphasize proper kicking and punching as well as core strengthening and cardio exercises into a 60 minute high intensity class.

UFK KC provides a family-friendly atmosphere where everyone from kids to mature adults are welcome to participate. No experience is required to begin classes.

UFK KC classes are held in a room with a heavy bag rack that holds 33 heavy bags. We also provide weight sets and various fitness machines as supplemental workout options.

UFK KC was created when our local boxing club closed. Jessica and I, along with our fitness family, were devastated and were unable to find a facility that offered the same family-friendly inclusive atmosphere with quality trainers and hard working members. So, we decided to start one! Jessica has been involved in martial arts for almost 20 years. She has earned her fourth degree black belt in tae kwon do and has been training kickboxing classes since 2004. Josh, a fifth degree black belt in tae kwon do and an officer with the KCPD, has offered to join us! Our goal is to offer practical fitness classes inspired by martial arts based self-defense techniques.

Since the winter 2015, Jessica and Josh have been training a small group of individuals to execute proper martial arts techniques at our temporary location, Wambua's Martial Arts. Over the months, these individuals have improved exponentially and have reached a level of skill that will allow them to teach others what they have learned. As UFK Kansas City grows, we will offer an apprenticeship program for members who not only want to improve their personal fitness but who have the passion and motivation to move beyond practical fitness and begin to teach their peers the skills they have acquired at UFK-KC.
