Student Activities and Involvement supports, challenges, and engages students by providing individually tailored mentoring, education, and training. SAI holds students accountable to grow with responsibility and integrity and builds their capacity for leadership by setting individual mentoring goals, integrating multiple leadership philosophies, and utilizing a three-tiered advising system that incorporates group development, personal development, and leadership building.
Key Functions of SAI:
● Advising, mentoring, and support for student organizations (200+ Registered Student Organizations [RSOs], governing councils, and the 40+ fraternity and sorority chapters)
● Advising and support for the Student Government Association (SGA)
● Advising and support for the University Programming Council (UPC)
● Leadership development
● Evaluation of programs and student organizations
● Community service and engagement
● Event management, advisement, and support for staff- and student-initiated programming initiatives
● Monitors compliance with various codes, risk management practices, and directives
