Umatilla is a city in Lake County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,214 at the 2000 census. According to the U.S. Census Bureau's 2004 estimates, the city had a population of 2,502. Umatilla is known as the Gateway to the Ocala National Forest, located in northern Lake County.HistoryThe city was named after Umatilla, Oregon.
