What is Chaffhaye?
Plain and simple, Chaffhaye is premium bagged alfalfa sold in 50-pound bags that captures the key characteristics of fresh pasture, while also offering a guaranteed level of nutrition. It is ideal for ensuring maximum health and well-being of all classes of horse, deer, goat, llama, camelid, and other exotic animals.

The sealed bag initiates an all natural fermentation which closely mimics the digestive process that occurs in the digestive tract of horses and livestock. The fermentation relies on the active participation of yeast, beneficial enzymes and fiber-digesting bacteria to “pre-digest” the feed by stripping out the nutrition from the plant fiber and breaking down relatively large blocks of nutrition into smaller, more readily digestible units.

After the oxygen in the air-tight bag is used up, the fermentation ceases and the resulting Chaffhaye remains as fresh and nutritious as the day it was cut.
