University of Arizona, Department of Agricultural Education

The Department of Agricultural Education contributes to the College’s unique functional role as a leader in the University’s land-grant mission by providing an array of programs in formal undergraduate and graduate instruction, research, and service to enable the people of Arizona, the nation, and beyond to improve the quality of their lives.

The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Technology Management and Education is composed of four options:

Agricultural Systems Management option
Agricultural Technology Management option
Leadership and Communication option
Teaching option

A Master's degree in Agricultural Education provides students with a variety of career opportunities in agriculture and the life sciences, as well as formal and non-formal educational settings. The field of Agricultural Education prepares students to teach in secondary agriculture classrooms, serve as extension educators, and work in agricultural business. A Master's degree in Agricultural Education may also prepare students who wish to pursue higher education as a career. There are two degrees offered in Agricultural Education, the Master of Science (with two emphasis options), and the Master of Agricultural Education (with two emphasis options, including an Accelerated Masters Program).
