The University of Louisiana Monroe has a history almost as rich and beautiful as the bayou that winds through its 238-acre campus. From its inception, it was constructed with one goal in mind – to serve the educational needs and desires of the people of northeast Louisiana. To that end, it has served the region exceptionally well for 86 years, and is positioned to continue a strong tradition of excellence far into the future.
