African Students Association, also known as ASA, was initially founded as a means of bringing students from various African countries together academically and socially. ASA serves as a means of debunking negative stereotypes of Africa and Africans that have been instilled in us through the media by showcasing our rich cultural heritage. We provide a safe and friendly environment where Non-African students can come and enrich their knowledge of Africa and its people. We also act a community where Africans attending the University can come and feel like home. Our primary objective is to bridge any and all gaps between African and non-African students through cultural and educational means. We plan to reach the community through our public service projects, informational events and collective accomplishments such as our annual African Night. All interested parties are welcome to join.
