Upper Potomac Music Weekends

Weekends feature intensive workshops for musicians during the daytime, relaxing jam sessions, mini-classes offered by students and staff, evening concerts and dances shared with the local community and special programs which are distinctive to each weekend.

Classes take place in the Shepherd University Student Center and surrounding historic buildings. Most classes are limited to 15 students and pre-registration is highly recommended for most, mandatory for some.

Dances take place during our Fiddle and Celtic Weekends at the Shepherdstown War Memorial Building (aka Men's Club) and are usually open to the public.

Showcase concerts are usually co-sponsored with Shepherdstown Music & Dance and the Performing Arts Series of Shepherd University and are open to the public and FREE for Shepherd University students.

Late night jam sessions are open to all. No admission is charged, but some prior contact is usually necessary in order to find them.
