Urban Grinders

Urban Grinders is a coffee shop opening in the heart of Greensboro’s Art District at 116 n. Elm St. at the corner of Elm and Friendly Ave. within a block of the Civil Rights Museum, Center City Park, Cone Denim Entertainment Center, Crafted: The Art of Taco and the soon to open LeBauer Park.

Urban grinders is unlike any other coffee shop in the area as we will have a strong focus on the art gallery side of a coffee shop that you are not used to seeing. When you first step into Urban Grinders we want you to feel like you have stepped into an art gallery cut right out of the New York City Arts District. our main artwork style will focus on street art, low brow, and pop surrealism. We will be working hard to cultivate a creative environment in our shop that goes beyond your average coffee shop, or a coffee shop in general. Urban Grinders will be working with Local, National and International Artists to give them a space to display their voice and creativity! When you think Urban Grinders you will think coffee, but you will also think art.

Along with the art shows we will also have live music events, dj’s and themed events that will help continue various unique traditions started specifically in Greensboro. Our final pieces of the puzzle are Designer Vinyl Toys from Kidrobot, Funko, DKE Toys and other distributors as well as a vinyl records section! Vinyl records and vinyl toys as well as art and coffee...Urban Grinders will be a sensory overload of awesomeness in every square foot!

Don’t get us wrong great tasting coffee will be one of our top priorities from the getgo! We are working very closely with local coffee roasters Krankies from the Triad to make sure Urban Grinders has some of the best tasting coffee around. As an added bonus we will be serving Cold Brew Coffee at our shop as well. Cold Brew Coffee is coffee brewed at room temperature for 18-24hrs which produces a better tasting, less acidic and more caffeinated coffee than traditionally hot brewed coffee. We have all the regulars too like mocha’s, latte’s, cappuccinos iced and hot, and offer options for non-dairy drinkers ranging from soy milk to flax seed milk!

Urban Grinders will also be working with local and regional bakers to have a tasty selection of sweet treats for you to enjoy with your coffee. these will also a focus on including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free items.
