The largest academic unit at the University of of Wisconsin-Madison, the College of Letters & Science is a leader in the arts and humanities, natural and physical sciences and social sciences.
L&S is home to 34 academic departments, five professional schools and 73 interdisciplinary research centers and institutes. Students can choose from 66 undergraduate majors and 106 graduate majors.
We confer more than half of all BA/BS degrees at the university and teach more than 620,000 credit hours a year.
