Gilbert Hall
Gilbert Hall is named after Robert B. Gilbert, a professor of English who served as a member of the faculty from 1948 until 1975. Dr. Gilbert also served as Dean of the School of Graduate Studies and chairman of the Division of Languages and Literature from 1948 - 1972.
Gilbert Hall is a suite-style residence hall for new freshmen and transfer students who have earned less than 24 semester credits.

Hoover Apartments
Hoover Apartments is named after Elizabeth Hoover, a professor of history who served as a member of the faculty from 1931 until 1972.
Hoover is an apartment community for sophomores and above. Hoover Apartments are divided into Phase One and Phase Two. Each apartment in Phase One of Hoover has two double bedrooms (shared bedrooms). In Phase Two of Hoover, each student has a single bedroom.

Location: Northern corner of campus, near the Student Union Building
Occupancy: 150 (Phase One – 16 apartments of four students per apartment with two per bedroom and Phase Two – 24 apartments of four students per apartment with single bedrooms)
