More about Vacuum Cleaner Museum

Whether you love to clean, have an itch for fun historical facts, or simply enjoy a quirky adventure from time to time, the Vacuum Cleaner Museum and Factory Outlet is the place to go! Admission is free, so what are you waiting for?

Travel through time as you learn about the history of vacuums. You’ll start in the early 1900s, before vacuum motors were even invented. You may even break a sweat if you try to use one of the manually powered 100-year-old machines!

Every room is furnished like the era it represents, with World War II paraphernalia in the 1930s/1940s, perfectly pastel décor in the 50s, and shag carpeting and lava lamps in the 70s. Vacuum advertisements from each decade are also displayed throughout the museum to give you a taste of how sales pitches for vacuums have changed over the years.

With over 600 vacuums, every visitor finds a favorite. If you are looking for a specific model, just ask. There’s a good chance we have it in our collection.

Drop in Monday through Saturday 9 AM-5 PM, or if you’re bringing a crowd, call to schedule a free tour today!
