Vallejo Waterfront History Art Walk Park

The City of Vallejo is in the process of creating an Art Walk Masterplan that will locate opportunities along the waterfront for community art work, sculptures, and other civic improvements such as landscaping, child play areas, picnic areas, water access and kayak launch, plazas for performances, and staging for events to name a few.

It is important that the masterplan incorporate and enhance current uses while allowing for new uses. To do this correctly community input is needed. The master plan is seeking input from Vallejo citizens, organizations, businesses, and the general public who care about the waterfront and want to improve its function.

A main element of the waterfront will be two to three sculptures by Mario Chiodo that highlight the history of Vallejo. The installation of these sculptures and many of the improvements will be covered through donations gathered by Mario Chiodo.
