There are times when a terminal illness cannot be adequately managed at home. CHP offers inpatient hospice centers in Defiance and Van Wert that specialize in pain and symptom management so that patients can return to wherever they call home.

What makes CHP Inpatient Hospice Centers different is that all hands-on care is provided by specially trained hospice nurses. We give 24-hour care that ministers to physical, emotional and spiritual concerns.

The unique design of our 12-bed centers addresses the needs of the whole family. All rooms are private suites with immediate access to skilled nursing care and an on-site social worker. Families have access to a chapel, kitchen, library, plus showers and overnight accommodations. There is space for family to gather and quiet places to be reflective.

Care is available on a short-term or long-term basis.
