Verna Jean Nursery

Verna Jean Nursery is a second-generation, family-run wholesale tree nursery providing our customers with quality shade, flowering, and ornamental trees for nearly 50 years.

In 1967, Verna Jean Hale began her nursery on one acre, farming the land that her grandparents had once farmed. Over the years her nursery grew to almost 17 acres and is now run by Verna Jean’s son-in-law and daughter, Larry & Angi Bailey.

Verna Jean prided herself in exceptional customer service and quality, handpicked trees, whether you required five or 500; and it is our strong desire to continue her legacy. Our nursery specializes in ornamental and flowering trees including Japanese Maple, European Beech, Dogwood, & Monkey Puzzle.

Located in the scenic wonderland about 40 minutes east of downtown Portland, Oregon, we are proud to be part of the diverse and thriving horticultural community of Oregon. We are members of the Oregon Association of Nurseries and Oregon Farm Bureau.

We continue her 38-year tradition by providing quality nursery stock for landscapers and specialty retailers.
