Vernon Education Foundation

The Vernon Education Foundation is a non-profit 501-C3 that was founded by parents and concerned citizens of the three Vernon schools. All three of our schools, Vernon Elementary, Vernon Middle School and Vernon High School are Title 1 schools located in a Title 1 district. In our case, 82% of our students live at or below the poverty level.
Not only do we have a low economic base for our students, the town of Vernon was destroyed when the State of Florida put in a four lane highway and leveled the businesses that supported our schools.
As parents and citizens we feel that it is our duty and responsibility to give these students the best education possible. We feel that they need all of the tools and a foundation to build upon so that they may prosper once they graduate. In doing so, we provide extra monetary support to teachers and students for things that are no longer in the budget like library books and classroom equipment such as microscopes and hot plates.
